FAQ

Q: I'm not sure about the timing of the stable selection, race order, etc. Where can I find more information?

A: We have a page that has all the important dates from sign up through Breeders' Cup. Click here to read the entire table of relevant times.

Q: Are all eight races worth the same point values. If not, should I weight my stable towards the higher point value races?

A: There are two levels of point values. The Classic, Turf, Distaff and Mile are worth more than the Sprint, Filly & Mare Turf, Juvenile and Juvenile Fillies. While you do get more points if you pick the winner of the first four races listed (15 for a win) versus the last four (12), you can miss out on quite a few points if you skip races all together. There are lots of ways to organize your stable, but the game was set up to allow the players to select 2 horses per race. However, you have the option of picking as many as you wish from each race until you reach the total of 16. This is where the individual strategy of stable selection and your confidence level in a particular race affects your stable makeup.

Q: Can I make any changes after I have selected my original stable of 16 horses, 5 trainers and 3 jockeys and verified it?

A: No. Once you make your original stable selections, submit them and verify them, you cannot go back and change any stable members. In short, those 16 horses, 3 jockeys and 5 trainers will be in your stable for the eight races.

Q: Why only 3 jockeys yet 5 trainers?

A: The chances of a jockey riding in more than one of the eight races is greater than that of a trainer having two or three runners. Therefore, this gives the players a little better chance to pick up trainer points yet still demands you to apply your handicapping skills when selecting the human part of your stable.

Q: The stable selection time is fairly short; will I be able to find out enough about all the races to make informed selections?

A: While the pre-entries for all eight races will be announced 10 days before the November 4 raceday, we won't have the official draw until Wednesday, November 1. We will have several sources that will give all our players as much information as possible on each race.

Q: I'd like to register again and manage two stables. Is this allowed?

A: No. We only allow one stable per player. Each player must also have a unique, functioning email address. After signups close, the game's commissioner does a sweep of the database and disqualifies any ineligible stables. Signing up ineligible stables may force disqualification of all entries, even if the first one was legitimate.
